I don’t think I’d mind seeing the GBF’s so long as they got to be real people and have their own relationships/struggles etc.. vs fashion accessories. Also I can’t tell the difference between prada and guchi without looking at the label! Please don’t kick me out! I can do hair!
Here’s my question. GBF are hot, their so in, but what about LBF? what’s up with that? Don’t people want to hang out with a chick how’d rather do some other chick?
This is so true. One time I was on a chat site and didnt want a line of guys wanting to cyber, so I pretended to be a guy. Then, I got a line of girls wanting to cyber, so I pretended to be gay. Then, they all wanted to be best friends.
True story.
Guys should totally have som LBFs to counter the girls! They need someone to tell them when they’re being a dick and show them how to change the oil.
I think every girl needs a gay friend. It teaches tolerance, acceptance and in healthy friendships, it can create a sense of familiarity with somebody from the opposite sex. Conversely, GUYs. you need gay friends too! It opens a whole new perspective, not only on the way you see and treat women, but how you carry yourself as well. Having all sorts of friends from the GLBTQ is so refreshing, and I wish that more people would get involved and care deeply about issues that affect us all.
that is true… after i came out it was insane how many girls want to be friends with me. i don
Well, I have an LBF. She comes over and plays video games and watches action movies with me. It’s awesome.
And I’m not even joking, that’s seriously true.
I don’t think you should decide on sexuality with who you wanna be friends with. May be a plus if the guy’s gay, but my best friend isn’t gay and he’s still great.
In the end, it really doesn’t matter.
And those girls in the video are just plainly stupid, using gay guys as fashion guides and such.
As if that’s all that friendship is.
@DyingBreedOfNerd I used to have a lesbian best friend actually. Oddly enough she always went on about how much she hated men. So it amazes me we were pals. There was also the fact that we fell for the same girls a lot of the time. She was so protective of her girlfriend. she said she’d beat me up if I laid a finger on her. We were very close though. It was so cute hearing her talk about how much she loved her girl. Seems that the relationship is not as common as the woman/gay man relationship.
That’s true, some women think I’d make a good best friend just because I’m gay.
I’m a super-antisocial geek.
Shoes and dresses are generally not an interesting topic to me, unless you can make them project 3D images or something.
Here’s the thing about girls wanting a gbf. It’s not about the fashion help–although that’s probably what it is with some girls–it’s about a girl being able to be friends with a guy without the guy wanting to date er, and getting things all screwed up and complicated. I want a gbf so that I can be friends with a guy, and he won’t think that everything I say to him means I’m flirting.
I want a gay best friend to use him as a bait for straight girls so that I can get more action. Would that be more acceptable?
In our sex-focused culture, it can be nice to confide in someone where you don’t question their motives. This goes both ways.
@Unbeginner SOOOO Agree with you… Iam also a Otaku, play Warcraft and Listen to Rock/Jraid Music… hate when some girls tell me things like “Ooo you are gay right? Could you help me go shoping and choose a new Xthing?”
Damn?! Why people believe i know something about fashion or girl stuff just because iam gay?! X_x
he kissed that girl. did he died?
My friend apparently has a hoard of little middle school girls waiting to get to high school so he can be their GBF. Too bad for them he’s graduating this year.
Along the same lines as this, does anyone else hate the term “fag hag”? Coming from a straight person, it’s offensive, and coming from a gay person, I find it self-depreciating. Imagine the equally offensive “hag” term if one had a lot of black friends. I don’t think that would fly. Why shouldn’t a friend just be a friend?
one of my best friends is gay. when i first met him i didn’t know he was gay. he came out of to the closet to me. and things are pretty much the same. he isn’t flamboyant or feminine or into fashion. he just happens to like dick.
Get me a gay. o.O
Brahh, I need some c**k!
Do girls really go out and look for gay guys to be friends with? ._.
I mean i have gay friends myself….But i just became friends with them and then they just happend to be Gay O.o
Finally, a positive gay spokes person! Not discounting Ellen but she’s about her profession not her sexuality, which is a message in itself, we’re all just people. But to have someone active addressing this topics is awesome.
Gays are wizards ;D
I’m glad that Degrassi was shown in a cameo. I still couldn’t believe that Marco kissed Ellie :0 (still getting over the shock)
And Degrassi is one of the few shows on television that accurately portrays the dilemmas that gays face in their lives (well, the old episodes anyway).
Embarrassed to be a woman when I see ladies like this in RL.
