I feel that some people (like my parents) are just too stubborn to want to learn about LGBT issues. But when they say ignorant things, like refer to transgendered/transsexual people as “its” I get so angry and want to educate them but they won’t listen. Is it worth wasting your breath and time?

The only way the LGBT community will reach equality is for people to be educated to realize we are no different than straight people.

Walking away doesn’t help anybody. Your mad at them and have no way to get it out and the ignorant homophobe goes on uneducated in a cloud of ignorance. I think it’s good to at least try telling them, because who knows? they might learn something.
